Black Vanilla by Mancera is a milky floral vanilla that soothes rather than challenges, which is exactly what we all need every now and then. Soft hints of blackcurrants, coconut, and peach cast a gauzy veil of fruit over the vanilla accord, itself sheer and barely sweet, like coconut milk put through a milk frother. The juicy berries and peach lend a discreetly flirtatious vibe, but in general, the lack of syrupy sweetness marks this out as a refined, grown-up vanilla scent. In time, a powdery rose emerges from the peachy, berried vanilla froth, creamy puffs of jasmine petals and candied violet trailing soon after. The florals, diffused in an enormous cloud of soapy white musk, feel more like a swirl of expensive cosmetic powder than freshly-cut flowers, giving the scent a distinctly clean, feminine vibe. In terms of sillage and longevity, Black Vanilla lasts the day, but is soft rather than loud. Despite the name, therefore, Black Vanilla is truly a perfect fragrance for days when you need your scent to stay low-key but still smell amazing. Gently feminine, its cluster of powdery flowers, musk, and lightly frothed vanilla-coconut milk feels more like a perfect veil of milky, floral lotion rather than a full-on perfume.

    Perfumes under Enigma originals are smells created by our inhouse expert perfumer, where as perfumes under inspired (Echo by enigma) are inspired by popular brands and our expert perfumer has reverse engineered them through chemical analysis and reproduction to smell the same and last same or longer.
  • Will I get the original bottle of the perfume under your inspiration perfumes?
    No, the bottle will be branded as enigma/echo by enigma. The shape will be a simple shape like a rectangle.
  • What about the colour of the perfume?
    Perfumes under echo by enigma will have colours as shown. Perfumes under Echo by Enigma (inspiration perfumes) will generally not have any colours added hence will be yellowish/brownish, if you order multiple perfumes we will try adding colours so that you don't have to read the label to pick up the perfume you want. Though colours can be added with special note on the cart page, we will try our best.
  • What to do if I can't settle/decide on a perfume?

  • What is the meaning of Chypre, Fougere, Gourmand in perfume family?
    Chypre - Fragrance that is characterized by its woody, mossy, and citrus notes. It typically contains ingredients such as oakmoss, bergamot, patchouli, and labdanum. Chypre perfumes are known for their sophisticated and elegant scent profile. Fougere - These are very clean and natural smelling and are characterized by a dry, grassy, hay-like dry down. With a scent that's both woody and fresh, fougere perfumes are very versatile and can be worn on a wide variety of occasions. Gourmand - Gourmand perfumes are mouth-watering scents with addictive notes that tend to smell edible. Think vanilla, caramel, cotton candy, chocolate, almonds, coffee and honey. Basically, any note that sounds good enough to eat.
